Pre-Event Gala & B2B2 Meet, Colombo, Sri Lanka

On the evening of October 22, 2024, Unimaxx Corporation, in association with the Tiles Sanitary Importers Association (TSIA), hosted an exclusive Pre-Event Gala at the Cinnamon Grand Colombo. Themed "Celebrating Craft and Collaboration," the gala set the tone for the highly anticipated B2B2 Meeting held the following day. The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Ms. Devika Lal, First Secretary (Economic and Commercial), and Mr. Saurabh Shablok, Second Secretary (Economic and Commercial), High Commission of India, Colombo. Also in attendance were Mr. Vigneshwaran, President of TSIA Colombo, key members of the TSIA Board, as well as Mr. Mukeshbhai Kundariya, President of the Vitrified Division, and Mr. Hareshbhai Bopaliya, President of the Wall Tiles Division, Morbi Ceramic Manufacturing Association.

Additionally, the gala was attended by several prominent manufacturers from India and Sri Lanka, who played a key role in the event's success. Members of the Indian Association were also present and addressed both the media and the guests in a series of speeches. The evening began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by key members, followed by a warm welcome speech where the host expressed gratitude to all attendees. This was followed by an address from the President of TSIA and the Morbi Association, who emphasized the importance of collaboration between industries and nations. Ms. Devika Lal then took the stage to deliver a candid speech, highlighting the significance of bilateral trade relations. A representative from the Indian Association also spoke, further stressing the need to strengthen business ties between India and Sri Lanka. The evening concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing appreciation for the continued support of all stakeholders involved. B2B2 Meet – Unlocking New Possibilities

The next day, October 23, 2024, saw the launch of the B2B2 Meet at the Cinnamon Grand Colombo — the first-ever B2B2 meeting held overseas. This landmark event brought together 25 leading importers from various industries, who engaged with key decision-makers in a structured roundtable setup. Ten manufacturers showcased their products, initiating meaningful conversations and forging valuable business connections. The full-day event, running from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, featured breakfast, lunch, and snacks, providing an excellent networking platform for all attendees. Importers were particularly impressed by the event’s well-organized structure, which facilitated productive interactions. Further reinforcing ties between the two nations, Mr. Mukeshbhai Kundariya and Mr. Hareshbhai Bopaliya from the Morbi Association, along with Mr. Vigneshwaran, President of TSIA, and other key members, met with representatives from the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI). The discussions were focused on strengthening standards and fostering greater collaboration between India and Sri Lanka. This successful event not only highlighted the growing importance of international trade relations but also provided a valuable platform for future collaborations, further strengthening the ties between the two nations.
